Điều này sẽ giúp cho sinh viên quốc tế có thể tìm kiếm các cơ hội việc làm tại Úc sau khi tốt nghiệp đại học. Tuy nhiên, quyền và thời gian làm việc chỉ được áp dụng cho các bằng cấp và lĩnh vực. Chính phủ Úc đã cập nhật thêm quyền làm việc cho hệ sau đại học để cung cấp cho những sinh viên quốc tế tốt nghiệp đại học đủ điều kiện với trình độ chuyên môn chọn lọc, có thêm hai năm đối với thị thực Tốt nghiệp Tạm thời (visa phân loại 485).

Quyền và thời gian làm việc hệ sau tốt nghiệp trong một số loại bằng cấp và trong các lĩnh vực thiếu hụt nhân lực kỹ năng cao đã được tăng lên từ:
• Hai năm đến bốn năm đối với một số bằng Cử nhân
• Ba năm đến năm năm đối với các bằng Thạc sĩ
• Bốn năm đến sáu năm cho tất cả các bằng cấp tiến sĩ.
Danh sách các ngành nghề có nhu cầu và trình độ liên quan đã được phát triển
thông qua các chính sách do Bộ Giáo dục Úc và Jobs and Skills Australia thực hiện.
Danh sách bao gồm:
• Danh sách các nghề được xác định từ 2022 Skills Priority List
• Danh sách tóm tắt trình độ đủ điều kiện theo danh mục nghề nghiệp.
Tất cả các bậc nghiên cứu tiến sĩ được coi là đủ điều kiện trình độ, bất kể lĩnh vực nghiên cứu.
Các tiêu chuẩn được liệt kê trong tài liệu này là bản tóm tắt của các điều kiện. Một danh sách toàn diện từ CRICOS sẽ được Bộ Giáo dục Úc công bố trước khi triển khai vào ngày 1 tháng 7 năm 2023. Học sinh sẽ cần tham khảo danh sách này, để xác nhận tính đủ điều kiện của khóa học tại nơi cung cấp chương trình giáo dục.
Việc triển khai và quản lý về mở rộng Quyền làm việc sau đại học sẽ được thông qua quá trình giám sát và đánh giá hàng năm. Cách tiếp cận này sẽ giúp việc triển khai trở nên linh hoạt và đáp ứng với những thay đổi của thị trường lao động và giải quyết những rủi ro có thể phát sinh hằng năm.
Các nghề được áp dụng trong 2022 Skills Priority List
Danh sách các nghề yêu cầu trình độ Kỹ năng Cấp 1 sắp xếp theo nhu cầu từ “moderate” tới “strong” theo 2022 Skills Priority List, được điều chỉnh bằng các quy trình xác thực thủ công.
Xếp hạng ‘S’ của Thị trường Lao động thể hiện sự thiếu hụt nhân lực có kỹ năng ở cấp quốc gia, trong khi xếp hạng ‘R’ chỉ xác định sự thiếu hụt cụ thể ở các khu vực khu vực.
Từ viết tắt ‘nec’ đề cập đến các nghề nghiệp ‘không được phân loại ở nơi khác’, cho phép các nghề nghiệp không phù hợp với các phân loại trong hạng mục phân loại nhưng vẫn được đưa vào. Tất cả các nghề nghiệp phân loại ‘nec’ trong ANZSCO được bao gồm trong danh mục ‘không cần thiết’ của nhóm đơn vị danh mục mà chúng liên quan.

Danh sách trình độ và điều kiện, liệt kê theo danh mục nghề nghiệp
Danh sách điều kiện được tổng hợp bên dưới bảng tiếp theo, là danh sách được đưa ra bởi bộ giáo dục Úc theo mã CRICOS và sẽ được áp dụng vào ngày 1 tháng 7 năm 2023. Học sinh cần dựa theo bảng danh sách này sau khi nó được công khai để xác nhận chương trình học của mình với bên cung cấp giáo dục có đủ điều kiện hay không.
Danh sách được tạotao ra để hiện các ngành nghề đang thiếu hụt nhân lực có kỹ năng (bảng trên).
Những điều kiện này là cần thiết cho tiêu chuẩn làm công việc hệ sau đại học.
Ngoài các tiêu chuẩn được liệt kê dưới đây, tất cả sinh viên tốt nghiệp hệ tiến sĩ (AQF level 10) đều đủ điều kiện để có thêm thời gian lưu trú tại Úc.
Các chương trình học khác nhau của các bên cung cấp dịch vụ giáo dục, cả về thời lượng học. Điều này có thể ảnh hưởng đến tính đủ điều kiện của từng bên cung cấp dịch vụ giáo dục khác nhau. The Common wealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS) sẽ là bên đưa ra quyết định và điều kiện tiêu chuẩn.
